Ligature Resistant Swinging Shower Door with Gasketing


The patented Ligature Resistant Swinging Shower Door with Gasketing (LR-SW-SH-G) is designed to be a solution that provides improved safety and privacy in patient showers. This self-centering door operates without springs, which removes possible ligature points and allows the door to swing in both directions. A thick but flexible gasketing on the door edge reduces watershed from the shower cubicle making it a safer alternative to a shower curtain.

  • Designed for shower areas due to elongated gasketing around the door's exposed edges and anodized aluminum, hard-coated components, with a stainless steel rod for durability.
  • The gasketing creates a boundary that helps prevent water from escaping the shower area—reducing the risk of slips and falls.
  • The braided nylon poly-coated strapping is waterproof, odor-proof, and mold-resistant. It won’t stretch out, stays strong over time, and is flexible and easy to clean, making it a reliable choice for a shower door application.
  • System can be set up for any finishes opening width. For openings 42" or wider, specify "PD" for pair of doors. Panels will be sized based on finished opening width provided leaving a gap of 1/4" between the two doors.
  • Custom system heights available, please call for assistance (standard system height is 60”).
  • The top of the door is crowned. It can be customized to meet specifications.
  • Available with 1/2" thick flexible Frosted Polycarbonate (FP500).
  • For proper installation, specify the hinge surface to ensure the correct fasteners are provided (e.g., TAPCON screws for concrete installations).
